Hofstra is creating a Hofstra Family Garden on our South Campus, within the Arboretum, dedicated to “Hofstra parents and families, past, present, and future.” The garden will be between the Adams Playhouse and Calkins Hall, along a popular pathway that connects to the Roosevelt Quad, the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, and Hofstra Law School.
Hofstra students, Class of 2021, raised $12,761 for Hofstra Family Garden.
Vice President Dougharty (in the photo) and his family are jump-starting the effort by donating funds for the dedication plaque. Hofstra’s Parent Council invites you to support this beautiful project and help raise funds for the garden. The funds will benefit Hofstra’s Arboretum endowment that helps garden upkeep every year. The dedication of the garden was on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
