For many years, graduates of the Hofstra University Department of Philosophy have found their way into a wide variety of careers—from business, to academia, to the arts.  As we celebrate World Philosophy Day, we invite our alumni and friends to help support the current generation of philosophy majors and prospective students.

UNESCO's World Philosophy Day focus is on the essential need to resort to philosophical reflection in times of crisis and the importance of philosophy as a discipline that encourages critical and independent thinking.
