The 20 Years of HEAT show celebrates the Hofstra Entertainment Access Television (HEAT) Network’s 20th anniversary! The show highlights the accomplishments of HEAT’s five current shows and reflects back on the organization’s history. Recorded in Studio A at the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, 20 Years of HEAT will feature alumni and faculty interviews, a panel discussion with current students, and a HEAT trivia game!
The show premieres on Sunday, March 13 at 7:00 PM on the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication’s YouTube channel.
HEAT students pride themselves on producing first-rate content and aspire to provide members with valuable, hands-on experience. This fundraising campaign aims to raise $2,000 in twenty days for new materials and resources to help our students succeed. Specifically, we are looking to buy new props, furniture for sets, costumes, marketing merchandise, and equipment.
What is the HEAT Network?
The HEAT Network is Hofstra University’s student-run organization in The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication. Open to all students on campus, the network provides members with a creative outlet to produce television content, showcase their talents, and gain real-world skills that they will carry with them into their media careers.
HEAT’s current student-produced shows are Thursday Nite Live, Sports Beat, Director’s Cut, Hofstra Today, and Two Weeks Notice. The network’s programming has recently been recognized by the College Television Awards, Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, the Press Club of Long Island, and the Fair Media Council.
Your gift to the HEAT Network is greatly appreciated and will enhance future students’ experiences!
