The Hofstra University Black/Hispanic Alumni Association (BHAA) was established in 1990, as a way to give-back to Hofstra’s Black/Hispanic community. One of the major goals of BHAA is to promote excellence and be a financial support to students of African-American, Caribbean-American, African or Hispanic descent who are pursuing their undergraduate degree at Hofstra.
The BHAA Endowed Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance for talented undergraduate students from the targeted student population. Since its inception in 2014, the endowment scholarship fund has been a vital resource to eligible students and we want to continue being a resource to these students. Through the generosity of alumni, family and friends of the Hofstra community, the BHAA Endowed Scholarship has awarded a little over $11,000 to three students during their educational journey at Hofstra. With your assistance, we can make an even great impact.
